An open letter to Partnerships from Sales
Partner managers hold the keys to unlocking revenue growth in 2024, and becoming the heroes of their company. So, what’s holding them back?

Recently, Simon gave a talk to the Sales team of a large publicly traded company on the power and effectiveness of partnerships.
But, toward the end of his presentation, a Sales Manager raised her hand and said:
"This all sounds great, but my experience with our Partnership team is that they mostly call me to attach partners on deals that I know I am going to win. No surprise the win rate is higher... Best case scenario it does nothing for me, worst case it creates complexity and jeopardizes the deal."
Simon admits that he was surprised by this comment. He quickly realized that there’s a major gap in how the market enables Partner Managers to drive value to Sales.
